Professionals who have already earned their csm and have at least one year of experience as a
scrum
master may seek an advanced certified scrum master (a-csm) certification.
Courses for an a-csm start at $600, and provide professionals with advanced techniques to use within their scrum framework, focusing on facilitating the work of others, offering coaching to team members and building stronger team cooperation. Maintenance of an a-csm certification requires a $175 renewal fee every two years, with a minimum of 30 scrum education units completed during that period.

The psm™ 1 professional scrum master assessment fee is $150 and is payable directly to scrum. Org. The password for the exam only allows you one attempt at the exam, so we'd recommend making sure you're as prepared as possible before attempting the exam.
This is ideal for anyone who would like to become a certified scrum master. No experience is required for this course or for the scrum master certified (smctm) exam. It is helpful, although not essential to have some understanding of project management. This course is also recommended for those who already working informally in the role of scrum master. To attest to competency in these areas, i like to see some type of coaching or training designation on a scrum master’s resume. Certification as a professional scrum master trainer tops my list in this category. Even a certification from aws or google as a certified technical trainer is enough to prove to me that the individual has the necessary skills to communicate effectively with other team members. I’m not picky about which coaching or training certification a scrum master has. I just want some indication that the person has the character and demeanor that a coach or teacher requires.

the assessment covers topics from multiple focus areas defined by the professional scrum competencies. Many questions ask you to think about or interpret the meaning from the scrum guide and how you would apply scrum within a scrum team. The psm i suggested reading lists the focus areas from which questions may be selected during the assessment. The scrum master learning path contains many additional resources to help you prepare to take the psm i assessment.
The two-day course costs £695.
