How does the AI Crumb Analysis work?

Our AI Crumb Analysis feature uses advanced Machine learning capabilities to analyze a photo of your bread's crumb. Simply upload a clear, well-lit photo of a slice of your bread, and our AI will provide you with a score and detailed feedback on aspects like fermentation, proofing, and shaping, helping you understand how to improve your next bake.

How do I take a good photo for the Crumb Analysis?

For the best results, please ensure your photo is:

• Well-lit: Use natural daylight if possible. Avoid harsh shadows.
• In Focus: Make sure the crumb structure is sharp and clear.
• Close-up: The slice of bread should fill most of the frame.
• Neutral Background: Place the slice on a plain, contrasting background.

Is SourdoughGuru free to use?

SourdoughGuru offers several tiers to fit your needs. As a Guest (a non-registered user), you can try out the app with 1 AI Assist, 1 recipe, 3 baking processes, 1 starter, and 10 image uploads. Our Free tier (for registered users via email or Google) gives you more to work with, including 3 AI Assists, 3 recipes, 10 baking processes, 2 starters, and 20 image uploads. For the ultimate baking experience, SourdoughGuru Premium offers 50 monthly AI Assists and unlimited access to all other features, including recipes, baking processes, starters, and image uploads.
