Square is one of the leading payment platforms in Ontario (like Moneris, Square, Stripe, Shopify Payments, and Helcim), and the leader among small and medium sized businesses. Square accepts major credit/debit cards, plus Apple Pay, and Google Pay, so giving via Square is secure, fast, and familiar, .
The gifts you give through Square will be included in your, single, St Stephen's charitable tax receipt, that we issue at tax time.
Since Square is a general payment platform, you will receive no additional solicitations from other charities after using Square.

TAX RECEIPT
Square collects your email address so that it can send you your payment confirmation. It does NOT collect your name and postal address which the CRA requires be included on your tax receipt.

6 Traditional Paper Offering Envelopes
Request your personal, boxed, set of paper envelopes, pre-labelled with your personal "envelope number" and the date for each Sunday and special occasion.
Tell the Parish Office that you want a set of boxed, paper, offering envelopes and we will put you on the list that submit to our envelope supplier, once a year, in November.
We also have guest envelopes in the pews.
7 What about Canada Helps? United Way?
The Church of St Stephen, Downsview, is registered with both Canada Helps and the United Way. Both Canada Helps and United Way issue their own tax receipts.
Note About Postal Address
The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) uses your name AND postal address to identify you, and requires that we include your address on your tax receipt. Be sure to clearly print your name and postal address including apartment number and postal code on your Guest Envelope, Cheque, or PayPal donation.
