No let-up in cold wave in Rajasthan
NEW DELHI, Jan 6 — Cold wave conditions are prevailing in parts of east Rajasthan and south Uttar Pradesh. They are likely to continue during the next two days.

  • The maximum temperature on Saturday was 14.2°C (57.6°F) and the minimum 7.0°C (44.6°F).
    The maximum relative humidity was 89 per cent and the minimum 59 per cent.

  • OUTLOOK FOR  SUNDAY: Mainly cloudy sky with possibility of light rain. Minimum temperature on Monday will be around 9°C.

No let-up in cold wave in Rajasthan

NEW DELHI, Jan 6 — Cold wave conditions are prevailing in parts of east Rajasthan and south Uttar Pradesh. They are likely to continue during the next two days.

Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature: The maximum temperatures continue to be below normal by 5°C to 8°C at many places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh, fell in Haryana and west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were below normal in west Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 1.4°C recorded at Nal (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of Jan 8: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Low temperature warning: Ground frost is likely at a few places in south Uttar Pradesh during the next two nights.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of Jan 8: Partly cloudy sky. Chilly winds during daytime. Fog during night and morning. No significant change in minimum temperature.
