Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Uttaranchal, at many places in east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Ambala 9, Pehowa and Thanesar 2 each and Chandigarh, Jagadhari, Nilokheri and Naraingarh 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Bagana 5, Guler 3, Barsar, Dehragopipur, Nagrota Surian, Nahan and Rampurbushahr 2 each and Kangra, Kasol and Sujanpurtira 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Jammu 4 and Banihal and Katra 1 each, Punjab: Dhuri 7, Patiala 5, Balachaur and Ludhiana 3 each, Moga and Nawanshahr 2 each and Nangal 1 , Uttar Pradesh: Turtipar 8, Balmikinagar, Ghazipur and Jaunpur 7 each, Ballia 5, Katerniaghat 4, Khandda and Varanasi 3 each, Neemsar 2 and Allahabad, Chandradeepghat, Gorakhpur and Mirzapur 1 each and Uttaranchal: Joshimath and Pantnagar 3 each, Banbasa and Mukteshwar 2 each and Uttarkashi 1.
