Monsoon has been active in Rajasthan. Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have been reported at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan and at a few places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather was mainly dry in west Uttar Pradesh. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are : Haryana: Dabwali 4, Hisar 3 and Thanesar 2; Himachal Pradesh: Arki, Bharwain, Guler and Nadaun 1 each; Jammu and Kashmir: Batote 1; Punjab: Nangal 4, Ludhiana 2 and Amritsar and Halwara 1 each; east Rajasthan: Gambhiridam and Garhi 5 each, Begu, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh and Kotari 4 each, Beawar, Kothari, Nimbahera and Sareri 3 each, Banswara 2 and Ajmer, Dungarpur, Lalsot, Pushkar, Pisangan, Rajgarh and Rajakhera 1 each; west Rajasthan: Dungargarh, Jaisalmer and Khajewala 5 each, Jalore 4, Fatehgarh, Ratangarh and Taranagar 2 each and Nokha and Pokhran 1 each; east Uttar Pradesh: Varanasi A.P. 4, Balrampur 3,
