Probe on for delivery in jail toilet

Taking serious note of yesterday night’s incident in which a female prisoner gave birth to a premature baby in the jail toilet, which later died, state jail & tourism minister Hira Singh Gabria has ordered an inquiry into the matter. DIG (jails) Jagjit Singh, who has been appointed to conduct the probe, has been asked to submit his report within two days.

LUDHIANA: Students of St GD’s Convent School participated in a “Save Tree Save Earth” campaign. Every student adopted a plant and pledged to take care of it. They put their name boards near the plants for recognition. They promised that they would take care of the plant like their family members.
