Diwali, the festival of lights, is a vibrant celebration that illuminates homes and hearts with its warmth and joy. A key symbol of this festival is the humble yet radiant diya, or clay lamp, which holds a special place in every Indian household. One way to engage children in the festive spirit is by creating DIY diya coloring sheets, a fun and creative activity that also doubles as a beautiful decoration.
Diya coloring sheets are not only a great way to keep kids engaged during the festive season, but they also help them understand the significance of diyas in Diwali. By coloring these sheets, children learn about the importance of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and hope over despair – all themes that Diwali celebrates.
