Chip and Joanna Gaines, the dynamic duo behind the popular HGTV show "Fixer Upper," have long been advocates for creating beautiful, functional spaces that reflect the personalities of their clients. One of their go-to appliances for transforming outdated kitchens into stunning, efficient havens is the Kitchenaid mixer. Let's delve into why this power couple swears by Kitchenaid and how they incorporate these iconic mixers into their designs.
Why Chip and Joanna Gaines Love Kitchenaid
Chip and Joanna's preference for Kitchenaid mixers is no secret. They appreciate the brand's durability, versatility, and timeless design. Here are a few reasons why Kitchenaid is a staple in their kitchen renovations:
- Durability: Kitchenaid mixers are built to last, with powerful motors and sturdy construction that can handle even the toughest dough.
- Versatility: From whipping egg whites to kneading bread dough, Kitchenaid mixers come with various attachments that make them indispensable in the kitchen.
- Timeless Design: With their classic Art Deco design, Kitchenaid mixers add a touch of elegance to any kitchen countertop.
Kitchenaid Mixers in Chip and Joanna's Designs
Chip and Joanna often incorporate Kitchenaid mixers into their designs, using them as both functional appliances and decorative accents. Here are some ways they integrate Kitchenaid into their projects:
Island Showstoppers
One of Chip and Joanna's signature moves is placing a Kitchenaid mixer front and center on a kitchen island. This not only adds a pop of color but also creates a focal point that ties the entire space together.
Open Shelving Display
Another way they showcase Kitchenaid mixers is by placing them on open shelving units. This allows the mixer to double as a decorative element while keeping it easily accessible for use.
Color Pop
Chip and Joanna are known for their use of color, and they often choose Kitchenaid mixers in bold hues to add a splash of vibrancy to their designs. From classic red to more daring shades like blue or green, these mixers can set the tone for the entire kitchen.
Popular Kitchenaid Models Used by Chip and Joanna
While Chip and Joanna have used various Kitchenaid models in their projects, some standouts include:
| Model | Features |
|---|---|
| Artisan Series 5-Quart Stand Mixer | Powerful 325-watt motor, 10 speeds, and comes in a variety of colors. |
| Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer | 67-point planetary mixing action, 575-watt motor, and a tilt-head design for easy access. |
Both models offer exceptional performance and durability, making them popular choices for Chip and Joanna's clients.
Incorporating Kitchenaid mixers into their designs allows Chip and Joanna to create kitchens that are not only beautiful but also functional and equipped with high-quality appliances. By choosing Kitchenaid, they ensure that their clients' new spaces will stand the test of time, both in style and durability.
