How many free scans do I get?
One fridge scan a week. You can watch a short ad for an extra scan, or buy Fridge Chef Unlimited once for unlimited scans and no ads. Cooking from your pantry list also uses a scan.
A scan failed. Did I lose it?
No. A scan is only used when it works. If no food is found in the photo, it isn’t used.
How do I get a better scan?
Open the door wide, turn on the kitchen light and step back so every shelf is in the photo. Add anything in drawers by hand.
Are the use-by dates accurate?
They’re estimates based on typical fridge life and what the photo shows. Tap any item to change its date, and always trust the label and your senses.
Can I trust recipes with my allergies?
Recipes are written to avoid the allergens you choose and double-checked, but they’re generated by AI. Always check ingredients and labels. If a recipe is wrong, tap the flag to report it.
I got a new phone. How do I restore Unlimited?
Open the scans pill on the Kitchen screen and tap Restore purchase, signed in with the same Apple or Google account.
