The theory section of this course is available via zoom if required: duration is 90 minutes followed by the practical hands on learning: duration: 90 minutes. advertising Total duration is 180 minutes aprox depending on numbers attending & is limited to a maximum of twelve trainees per tutor this course provides important information on the selection and mounting of abrasive wheels. This is a legal requirement for employers. This course covers abrasive wheels for the use on non-precision machines such as bench grinding and angle grinding machines. The course is designed to supplement but not replace the formal and practical training issued by your employer in the safe use of abrasive wheels that is required by law.

We cover both theory and practical. Firstly we discuss the content which is listed below. Secondly, we cover the practical section which will involve inspecting and mounting an abrasive wheel. For instance, the trainer will demonstrate pre-use inspection of equipment and mounting an abrasive wheel. Once that is done each participant will get the opportunity to get involved and get some practice in. On successful completion of this course, learners will be able to: list the legal requirements of working with.

Aim: the abrasive wheels training courses aims to provide participants with the skills and knowledge needed to ensure they are competent and safe when mounting an abrasive-wheel. Delivery: the abrasive wheels training course is delivered by a nb training approved tutor. The course is delivered using a power-point presentation with discussions and videos. What award do i receive? after successful completion of the course, each participant will be awarded a nb training certificate in ‘abrasive wheels’. Course duration: the abrasive wheels course is run over 1 evening (6. 30-10pm). Entry requirements: good command of the english language. How much does it cost? the course fee is €50. time

You will learn about different types of wheels and discs and their functions. The course is aimed at workers in the construction industry. Please make sure that you have read and understood the entry requirements (see below) and booking terms and conditions for this course.

Guardian safety is a qqi registered training provider and all our trainers are fully qualified abrasive wheels instructors. All course instructors hold “train the trainer” certification and are qualified health and safety practitioners. Maximum participants per course: 8 max assessment assessment is by a theory and practical test. Certification guardian safety’s “abrasive wheels certificate” is awarded to participants on the successful completion of the course. Refresher training & certification validity period refresher training is recommended at intervals not greater than 3 years.
