Section 6 – Mounting

The theory section of this course is available via zoom if required: duration is 90 minutes followed by the practical hands on learning: duration: 90 minutes. Total duration is 180 minutes aprox depending on numbers attending & is limited to a maximum of twelve trainees per tutor this course provides important information on the selection and mounting of abrasive wheels. This is a legal requirement for employers. This course covers abrasive wheels for the use on non-precision machines such as bench grinding and angle grinding machines. The course is designed to supplement but not replace the formal and practical training issued by your employer in the safe use of abrasive wheels that is required by law. We cover both theory and practical. Firstly we discuss the content which is listed below. Secondly, we cover the practical section which will involve inspecting and mounting an abrasive wheel. For instance, the trainer will demonstrate pre-use inspection of equipment and mounting an abrasive wheel. PHECC First Aid Response Course

Phecc first aid response is a 3-day course that will equip the attendee with the necessary practical skills, knowledge and confidence to; give effective life support (cpr); diagnose and treat injuries or illness; maintain care and comfort of a patient who has become suddenly ill or injured in the workplace or community until the arrival of emergency medical services; use an automated external defibrillator (aed); administer aspirin for cases of a suspected heart attack.
