Mada Masr is hiring a dissemination editor
Mada Masr is looking for a dissemination editor who will be responsible for the publication and distribution of our material to readers.
The role encompasses the visual presentation, layout and publication of our work on our website, via social media and other forms of dissemination, such as newsletters and other appropriate channels and platforms.
The editor will lead a production team (social media officers and graphic designers), to explore new avenues for dissemination, and will work alongside editors to develop an appropriate strategy to cultivate and grow our audience.
We’d love to hire someone who has a strong interest in the journalistic value of Mada Masr’s work and is prepared to play a vital role in making sure that value reaches our audience.
Job description
The editor will be expected to liaise between their production team and the broader editorial team of editors and journalists to develop better ways to produce content on social media and in email newsletters to accompany the dissemination of Mada Masr’s news, features, commentary and original critical and creative writing.
They will be responsible for building appropriate visual and written languages for dissemination of different outputs.
They will also be expected to work with outreach staff to publish content supporting Mada Masr’s visibility and brand.
The editor will also be expected to design and steer production and workflow for daily and periodical newsroom production and publishing, as well as manage junior staff.
They will also be responsible for developing the appropriate performance metrics for the production team.

Salary will be determined at a competitive rate according to experience. The role is full time, five days a week.
