The four-year “Bousolah” project, led by ARIJ in partnership with “Journalism & Citizenship” and the support of the European Union, aims to strengthen independent media, promote reliable information, and foster cross-border collaboration among journalists and fact-checkers in the MENA region. It focuses on building skills and providing professional support to media and fact-checking organizations, leveraging the groundwork laid by the Arab Fact-Checkers Network (AFCN) and the Sahafa Med initiative. The name “Bousolah,” meaning “compass,” symbolizes the crucial need for direction amidst regional information disorder and complex challenges.
