JUBA – South Sudan People’s Defense Forces (SSPDF) has released three civilians that it has been holding in Kajo-Keji County of Central Equatoria state for more than one week, county commissioner Kenyi Erasto confirms.

In a brief statement to Sudans Post, Erasto said the three civilians were released this evening after several days of detention and they were transported by the SSPDF from the detention center to the County headquarters where they were escorted home by the commissioner.

“This is to confirm that they have been released and they were brought from where they were detained by the South Sudan People’s Defense Forces soldiers to my office which is the country headquarters,” Erasto told Sudans Post by phone from Kajo-Keji.

“After they arrived, I can see that they are in good health and I escorted them to their place of residence and assured them that justice will be brought for their relatives who were murdered,” he added.
