JUBA – A South Sudan court in the capital Juba has on Thursday adjourned the trial of Babu Emmanuel Lokiri, a Juba University student, who was arrested in August for killing three siblings in the capital’s Rock city neighborhood.

There was no date mentioned immediately, but the adjournment was due to lack of space as the court was opened to the public.

“The hall could not accommodate a large number of citizens who wanted to attend the trial procedures,” Counsel Boutros Yai said.

In August, Babu who was studying medicine at the Juba University was arrested after he was accused of having gruesomely killed three siblings, 9-year-old Naomi Edward, 7-year-old Blessing Edward and 4-year old Nor Edward.

The killing sparked outrage among members of the public and president Salva Kiir immediately order law enforcement agencies to look into the crime and arrest the culprit.
