JUBA – South Sudan police chief Gen. Majak Akech has announced in statements to the media that the killer of three children who were killed by what was an unknown person last week has been identified.

Last week, three children were slaughtered at home while their mother was outside. The gruesome killing of the three siblings sparked social media condemnation and uproar and pressure mounted on the government.

Speaking to journalists in Juba this afternoon, inspector General of Police General Majak Akech said the killer who is identified as Babu Emmanuel Lokiri has been identified by the police and said he is a close relative of the deceased children.

Majak said Emmanuel is a fourth-year university student of the Juba University.

Other police sources have told Nyamilepedia that the suspect would face death sentence and arrangement was ongoing to take him to court to face murder charges.
