In a decree, President Kiir, who is also the commander in chief of the SSPDF and supreme commander of all regular forces, transferred Maj. Gen. Gregory Deng Koc from South Sudan People’s Defense Forces to the National Security Service.
In another decree, Kiir appointed Major-General Gregory as the new Deputy Director-General of the General Intelligence Service (GIS) at South Sudan National Security Service.
There was no reason given by the South Sudanese president as to why he had to make such changes.

President Salva Kiir Mayardit is doing exactly what Dr. Riek Machar Teny has done. Most of the positions have been giving to his in law people or the entire Apuk Giir Thiik community. You got Abraham Makuach Gum is the cimmander of Division 5. He fired general Ker Kiir because he was from Tonj. Major general Gregory Deng Koc is brother in law will soon replace general Akol Koor Kuc. General Lual Maroldit is the commander of Tiger Division and there are many people from his in laws community of Apuk Giir Thiik holding more positions.
I know the Dinka Bhar El Ghazal Regions are not going to keep him doing it for sure. The Idea of talking about Dr. Riek Machar Teny has hiring his own family is ridiculous because the President Salva Kiir Mayardit is doing it. Both leaders are practicing nepotism, favoritism, tribalism, discrimination and alluding policy and I think South Sudan will be better off without these two leaders in South Sudan. His own Son Kiir Mayardit is the Deputy executive director of the President and he will be taking executive director of his father very soon. I think South Sudanese people should reunite against two leaders because such unlawful practice must not be allowed in South Sudan nation. We fought for 21st plus years and to make sure we will have better system, better government and government for all people not families, not benefiting in laws people.
