Kiir relieves and appoints officials in western Equatoria state

 

YAMBIO — South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Friday issued a presidential decree relieving and appointing several officials in the government of Western Equatoria State.

The decree, issued on March 9, 2026, by the Office of the President in Juba, relieved and appointed several officials who are serving under the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement–In Opposition (SPLM-IO) in the State.

The presidential decree is part of ongoing administrative adjustments within the Western Equatoria State government.

The following officials were relieved from their positions:

2. Morris Bazia – Minister of Finance, Planning and Investment

 

3. Isaac Mursal – Minister of Labour, Public Service and Human Resource Development

 

4. Elia Usini Dominic—Minister of Information and Communication

5. Abuida Samuel – Chairperson, Anti-Corruption Commission

 

6. Amos Manga – Chairperson, HIV/AIDS Commission

 

7. Charles Alley – Deputy Chairperson, Human Rights Commission

 

8. Wilson Atilio Saine – Deputy Chairperson, Employees Justice Chamber

 

9. Isaac Atoroba Moses – Member, Conflict Resolution Committee

 

10. Elizabeth Richard Bagboro – Member, Relief and Rehabilitation Commission
