GEZIRA – At least six people were killed and ten others injured in an attack carried out by Sudan’s rebellious paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on Friday in the village of Um Miliha of the Al-Gezira State in central Sudan.

Eyewitnesses who spoke to Sudans Post following the incident said that the attack on Um Miliha, located in northeastern Gezira State, is a continuation of a series of crimes committed by the RSF against unarmed civilians.

“The rebel forces attacked the villagers after Friday prayers, and the attack resulted in the martyrdom of six people by RSF gunfire,” they explained.

Sudans Post was able to obtain the names of the victims, who are: Anas Mukhtar Muhammad, Amir Tawahin, Mahid Muhammad Bahar, Awad Al-Karim Musa, Haib Hamad Al-Tayeb, and Bakri Yusuf Noah.

Eyewitnesses further stated that the attack also led to the injury of ten people, revealing that the RSF elements withdrew from the village after attacking its residents.

In a related development, informed sources indicated that a force from the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) belonging to the western axis of Manaqil moved to the area and managed to repel the RSF elements.
