Speaking during the release of primary schools examinations results in Juba on Friday, Tako disclosed that private schools performed better than the public schools.

“The private schools took our qualified teachers because we are unable to pay teachers. A teacher can’t come to work with me in the Ministry where he will only get 2,000 SSP meanwhile there is somebody paying 50,000 SSP,” Moyi said.

He revealed that the government is working to address the challenges facing teachers in public schools in a bid to improve the educator sector.

“This is going to be addressed; the leadership of this country is very much concerned about teachers’ salaries and motivations,” he said.
