Sudanese companies to conduct major trade fair in Juba next month – Mathok

JUBA – South Sudan’s investment minister, Dhieu Mathok Ding Wol, has announced that over 40 Sudanese companies are organizing a major trade fair in the capital Juba to showcase investment opportunities in the world’ youngest nation next year.

Speaking to reporters in Juba on Monday, Mathok said the Sudan Trade Fair and Exhibition will take place between January 7 and January 15, 2021, and will seek ways of tapping huge business opportunities in South Sudan, saying it will offer a unique opportunity to bring together businessmen from two Sudan to put in place strategies for long-term sustainable development in both private and public sectors.

“This is a great opportunity for all of us in order to benefit out of what is being produced in Sudan, and also creating an environment for investment in South Sudan because a believed most of those companies are going to open their branches here, and create a lot of opportunities for employment of our young people,” he told reporters.

The government official revealed that it is the first of its kind for Sudanese companies to do trade fairs in South Sudan.

“The exhibitions of Sudan products were scheduled to take place on 16-22 December, 2020 but the program has been delayed now and it will  take place 0n 7-15 of January. This is a really important event, it is going to be the first of its kind in South Sudan for Sudan to do a trade fair,” he explained
