The grant is different than other grants, where the house must be installed.
We're engaging with schools and communities across Ireland to change the way your community thinks about energy.
All homeowners, including private landlords, whose homes were built and occupied before 2021 can ap-ply. This is defined as the date your electricity meter was installed. The grant value is calculated on the total maximum output of the Solar PV system, measured in kWp. The grant value is €900 per kWp up to 2 kWp and €300 for every additional kWp up to 4kWp. The total maximum grant value is capped at €2400. A post works BER assessment must be carried out before the grant can be processed. Cost of the solar panels that you choose and the system you purchase
Most important is that you get the grant for solar power.
Solar panels and solar energy systems are priced according to the amount of electricity you require for your home or office.
The Irish Government sees solar energy as an important long-term way of expanding the mix of sustain-able energy in Ireland. They have therefore put in place a number incentives to assist Irish consumers in switching to solar.
Change the way you think about energy.
Back to the National Grid
The grant is designed to help you pay for the installation of solar PV panels that will generate renewable electricity at home.
It takes less than a day.
Grants require that homes be built before 2011.
SEAI Grants help businesses, homeowners, communities and large industry reduce their energy con-sumption and greenhouse gases.
CSP technologies produce electricity by focusing sunlight to produce heat and drive an engine connect-ed to a generator. They’re usually found in countries with year-round sunshine, so are less common in Ireland.Given the constraints of CSP, solar PV panels are more popular in terms of demand, affordability and reliability for Irish homeowners and businesses.

Solar panels usually last somewhere between 20-30 years. This does not mean that solar panels stop generating electricity after this timeframe, but rather it means that their efficiency will substantially re-duce.
around 10,000 - 12,000 The average cost of a 5kW photovoltaic system in Ireland is around 10,000 - 12,000. This includes the cost of the solar panels, equipment, and installation. However, it's important to note that this is just a rough estimate, and the final price will depend on the specific factors mentioned above. 29 Jan 2023

25 to 30 years The industry standard for most solar panels' lifespans is 25 to 30 years. Most reputable manufacturers offer production warranties for 25 years or more. The average break even point for solar panel energy savings occurs six to 10 years after installation.
