Pet Texts ("the App") is developed and operated by Sandeep Mysore. There are no accounts. This policy explains what happens to your photos, messages and data.
These are saved in the App’s private storage on your phone. We have no copy of them.
When you add a pet, the App sends that photo to the Pet Texts server, hosted on Google Cloud. The server sends it to Google’s Gemini API to recognise the animal and write a personality, returns the result, and does not store the photo. Photos that don’t show a pet (for example, only people) are rejected.
When you message a pet, the App sends your message, recent messages in that chat, and your pet’s details (name, species, breed, personality and routine) to the server, which asks Google’s Gemini API for the reply. Nothing is stored after the reply is sent back. Google processes this under the Gemini API Additional Terms and the Google Privacy Policy. Please don’t share personal information in chats.
Personalities and replies are written by AI, just for fun, and aren’t advice. For anything about your pet’s health, ask your vet.
If you report a message, the reason you chose, any note you add, the reported message and up to six recent messages from that chat are sent to our server logs so we can review it. Reports contain no photos and are kept for up to 30 days.
The App asks for camera or photo access only when you add a pet, and uses only the photo you pick. Notifications are used only for the texts from your pets you turn on, and are scheduled on your device.
The App creates a random ID on first launch and sends it with requests so the server can apply fair daily limits. It isn’t linked to your identity and the server forgets it within a day.
Free users can choose to watch a short ad from Google AdMob for more messages. Ads are never shown unless you choose to watch one, and never after you buy Pet Texts Unlimited. To serve and measure ads, Google’s Mobile Ads SDK may collect:
This data is collected and processed by Google under Google’s Privacy Policy. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services. Your photos, pets and chats are never shared with advertisers.
Pet Texts Unlimited is sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. They handle payment; we never see your card or account details.
Pet Texts is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Delete a pet from their profile, use Settings › Delete all my data, or uninstall the App. See Delete data.
