Alabi replaces Odumosu as Lagos commissioner of police

The Inspector-General of Police, Alkali Baba, has directed Abiodun Alabi to take over from Hakeem Odumosu as the commissioner of police in Lagos.

While Mr Odumosu was recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG), Mr Alabi was until his latest appointment the Bauchi state commissioner of police.

The Deputy Force Public Relations Officer (DFPRO), Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the directive on Friday.

Mr Alabi is expected to resume at the Lagos Command, Ikeja, on Monday.

The IGP had also directed Mr Odumosu to resume at the Force Headquarters in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.
