Bandits kill three, injure many in Kaduna

This came barely a week after bandits killed six person at Igabi and Kaura Local Government Areas of Kaduna State.

Bandits on Tuesday attacked Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killing three and leaving five with gunshot injuries.

The attack took place at about 5:30p.m. on Tuesday, Daily Trust reported, citing a local resident who said bandits rode motorcycles to launch attack on the community.   

“Lado Ibrahim, a resident said the bandits invaded the community around 5:30pm in over 30 motorcycles two on each and shot at residents before jamming them with the motorcycles”, the outlet said. 

This came barely a week after bandits killed six person at Igabi and Kaura Local Government Areas of Kaduna State. 

On March 4, Kaduna State commissioner for Security and home affairs, Samuel Aruwan, said that bandits commander, Rufai Maikaji and dozens of his militias were neutralised by security agencies. 

In the past three months, bandits have launched coordinated attacks on communities, killing and abducting school students in hundred across Katsina, Niger and Zamfara State.
