The 14th edition of The Headies awards held on Sunday at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The nominees for the awards had been announced in December 2020, with Fireboy DML leading with nine nominations, while Burnaboy, Davido, Wizkid and Wurld had six nominations each, as well as newcomers to the music scene like Bad Boy Timz and Omah Lay.

Comedian Bovi hosted the event with actress Nancy Isime. Bovi took to the stage in a shirt bearing a blood-stained Nigerian flag symbolising the shooting, maiming, and killing at the Lekki toll gate during the #EndSARS protests last October.
