Fiery Catholic Priest Ejike Mbaka has described President Muhammadu Buhari as an evil and satanic leader.

Mr Mbaka, who was an ardent supporter of Mr Buhari at the 2015 and 2019 presidential election, said the president and members of his administration were meting out evil and satanism on Nigerians in the name of leadership.

According to him, the Buhari administration had demonised Nigeria’s democracy.

His unwavering support for the president dates back to 2015 when Goodluck Jonathan lost the highest elective position to Mr Buhari.

In a 2015 message, themed: ‘From good luck to bad luck,’ Father Mbaka faulted the performance of Mr Jonathan, predicting that Mr Buhari as his main challenger would win the presidential poll.

Again in 2019, the cleric, in his New Year message to Nigerians, declared support for Mr Buhari, urging Nigerians to reelect him.

However in the heat of the wanton of security challenges currently ravaging every part of the country, Father Mbaka in a sermon seen by Peoples Gazette on Thursday rescinded his support for Mr Buhari with claims that God asked him to prophesy against him.

“God is angry with our leaders. From Buhari to the last, God’s anger is upon you. Now God has asked me to withdraw and prophesy against you,” Father Mbaka said. “Why would Nigerians leaders, from the president down, be melting out evil, satanism on Nigerians in the name of leadership?”

Further slamming Mr Buhari’s frequent foreign medical trips, he added: “Listen, I repeat it again, is it not shameful that a president of a country will be sick and there is no hospital in the whole country to treat him and he will fly out? If other Nigerians are sick, will they fly away. Do you have the money?”

Father Mbaka also questioned Mr Buhari’s lethargic response towards addressing the security challenges rocking the country, adding that the president is calm because his family members are still alive.

“They have raped our democracy. Is the president calm because his children are not dead? Is he calm because his wife is still alive? Is he calm because those who are dying are not Nigerians? Is he silent because he is dumb and cannot talk? Why is the president quiet in the midst of the evil going on in the country? Shall he continue like this and we are watching?”

The famous cleric has long been known to weigh in on political matters. He also frequently declares political affiliations and predicts elections. His 2015 sermon on Mr Jonathan was believed to have played a vital role in garnering votes for Mr Buhari in the South-East region at the presidential polls.
