Lagos residents have been assured of a blissful yuletide celebration.

On Wednesday, the Lagos commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Eweko Okoro, said the command would ensure an enjoyable yuletide for residents.

“This command has rejigged its personnel to ensure the safety of lives and critical infrastructure,” he said.

He further assured that all the dark spots in the state would be monitored effectively.

Mr Okoro stressed that the corps would not condone any nefarious activities of street urchins to jeopardise the peaceful coexistence in the state.

“NSCDC will protect the identity of the residents who avail the corps of useful information on the nefarious activities of criminals,” the NSCDC commandant added. “This cooperation will enhance the efficient monitoring of the state.”
