Peoples Gazette learnt that the SS3 student, whose name was given as Micheal Ogbeise attacked the teacher for flogging his younger sister, Promise.

Michael landed a heavy blow on Mr Ezeugo’s face and he fell unconscious, a friend of the slain teacher, who does not want his name in print, told The Gazette.
