Fire outbreak razes market in Lagos
Ajah plank market in Ado, Lagos, was razed by fire Wednesday morning, destroying properties worth millions of naira.
Footages shared online showed traders rueing their their losses following the inferno which gutted their goods completely.
An update on the Twitter page of LASTMA, the state traffic agency, @followlastma, indicated that the fire outbreak is causing a major traffic on Addo road, opposite Blenco Supermarket.
The agency stated that emergency responders are already on ground to put out the fire.
The cause of the fire has not been ascertained by the agency.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, has not reported the incident. The agency’s spokesman Nosa Okunbor has not responded to calls and text messages by Peoples Gazette for comments as of the time of filing this report.
The market fire comes barely six days after seven vehicles were burnt on Micheal Otedola Bridge, also in Lagos, following an accident involving a petrol tanker. The inferno billowed for hours, disrupting vehicular movement on the ever busy highway, The Gazette reported.
