Vehicles and motorcycles with unregistered or unauthorised number plates will henceforth be impounded, says the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Sector Command.

Sector Commander Ahmed Umar stated that the operation would be carried out in conjunction with sister security agencies.

“Pursuant to the primary role played by the FRSC in advancing national security through rigorous intelligence, it has been observed that many motorists go about with unauthorised or unregistered vehicles.

“Therefore there will be a joint special enforcement with the police, the Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps and the Vehicles Inspection Office to checkmate erring motorists,’’ he stated.

Mr Umar enjoined motorists and motorcycle operators to always go through appropriate authorities to register their vehicles.
