Jigawa police recover stolen cow in Kano market, arrest two suspects

The police spokesman disclosed that the police later recovered the stolen cow at Wudil market in Kano.

The police command in Jigawa has arrested two persons for stealing a cow in Garki local government area.

Police spokesman Lawan Shiisu disclosed this in Dutse on Monday.

Mr Shiisu explained that the suspects were arrested after an individual, Nasiru Magaji, reported the theft of his cow to the police that on December 14.

The police spokesman disclosed that the police later recovered the stolen cow at Wudil market in Kano.

The spokesperson added that the two suspects, both aged 30 and residents of Jaya and Daware villages in Garki and Ringim LGAs, respectively, were arrested in connection with the case.

According to him, two other suspects and residents of Jaya and Badage villages, also in Garki and Ringim LGAs, were still at large.

Mr Shiisu also mentioned that the suspects would be charged to court upon completion of the investigation, while effort was being intensified to trace and arrest the two fleeing suspects.
