Bandits kidnap six persons in Abuja community

The police confirmed the abduction to Peoples Gazette Wednesday afternoon.

No fewer than six persons were abducted by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers in a community in Abuja, Eons Intelligence reports.

The attack occurred during the wee hours of Wednesday at Kuje Area Council of the FCT.

The assailants invaded the residents homes around 3:00 a.m. and whisked away with their victims to an undisclosed location.

The security blog noted that the bandits abducted their victims from six different homes they invaded during the attack.

Reacting to the development, Mariam Yusuf, FCT police command spokesperson told Peoples Gazette by phone Wednesday that it was four people that were abducted during the attack.

“Yes the command is aware of the case. It was four people that were kidnapped please.”

“We have launched an operation to rescue the victims and apprehend the fleeing suspects.” Ms Yusuf said.

Residents living in Kuje, Kwali and Pegi community are faced with the challenges of kidnapping activities.

The Gazette had reported several kidnapping cases across the communities by gun-wielding men.
