An octogenarian, Alhaji Nadabo, has been rescued from suspected kidnappers, the Kano police said.

“On November 12, 2021, at about 7:57 p.m., a report was received that one Alhaji Nadabo, 80, of Chiromawa, Garun Malam local government area of Kano State, had been kidnapped.

“On receipt of the report, the Commissioner of Police, Sama’ila Shu’aibu-Dikko, raised and instructed a team of Operation Puff Adder, led by CSP Usman Maisoro, to rescue the victim and arrest the culprits.

“The team immediately rushed to the scene and trailed the kidnappers together with members of the vigilante and community members,” the police spokesman, Abdullahi Haruna-Kiyawa, said.

According to him, the kidnappers released the victim unhurt and fled.

The CP thanked all community policing stakeholders for their continuous support, encouragement and cooperation.

He also urged the people of the state to continue to expose criminals to enable the police to continue to make the state safe.
