A motorcyclist was crushed to death at Animasaun area on Ota-Idiroko road in Ogun on Saturday.
The unit commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun, Ganiyu Akeem, who confirmed the incident, said it occurred at about 3:30 p.m.
Mr Akeem blamed the accident on reckless driving and speeding on the part of a trailer driver.
According to him, the corpse of the commercial motorcyclist had been deposited at Ifo General Hospital.
The deceased and two others were involved in the crash, but the other two victims were said to have escaped unhurt.
Regretting that other motorcyclists had completely blocked the road, Mr Akeem said that several appeals to allow the crane access to the crash scene proved abortive.
He enjoined motorists to always desist from nefarious acts that could lead to unnecessary loss of lives on the road.
