Nigerian Super Eagles have been paired to play against Black Stars of Ghana in the 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff.

The draw for the playoff was made in Douala, Cameroon on Saturday and the matches will be held in March with Ghana hosting the first leg.

The duo of Nigeria and Ghana will slug it out for the ticket to the World Cup to be held in Qatar later in the year.

Nigeria are presently in the knockout stage of the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Cameroon while their opponent in the FIFA World Cup playoff, Ghana, have been sent home in the group stage.

By FIFA pairing, one of the teams won’t make it to the 2022 World Cup as the winner of each playoff will grab the ticket to Qatar.

Cameroon will slug it out with Algeria for the ticket to Qatar, while Dr Congo will face Morocco, with Mali and Tunisia battling for a chance ticket.
