Nigerian Idol begins March 14

The winners will go home with prizes including N7.5 million, a recording contract with Sony, an SUV.

Nigerian Idol (Season 6), a TV reality show, begins on March 14.

Gotv Nigeria announcing the date on its Instagram page, @GotvNg, said, “Get a sneak-peek into who’ll be auditioning for #NigeriaIdol.

“Set your reminder, March 14, CH 29.

The reality TV series is aimed to search for young talented individuals in Nigeria with a singing competition.

At the commencement of the audition, 30 eligible Nigerians were often selected for the show, but only 12 contestants made it to the final stage through voting.

The winners will go home with prizes including N7.5 million, a recording contract with Sony, an SUV, and a trip to South Africa.

“After a five-year hiatus, Nigerian Idol will return with Season 6 to unearth some of the best musical talents the country has to offer. The Idol franchise has over the years produced some of the biggest Nigerian singers such as Timi Dakolo, Mercy Chinwo, and Omawumi, who have gone ahead to make a name for themselves in the global music scene,” AfricaMagic said.
