Fast-rising Nigerian musician Olakira has bagged endorsement deal with Italian automobile company Maserati.

The “In my Maserati” crooner and the luxurious vehicle company took to their respective Instagram pages to make the huge announcement captioning “If 36 million views seemed surreal, a real #Maserati collaboration seemed unreal for @iamolakira.”

In a video post on Instagram, the artist recounts how “during the lockdown I was like, I need to do something. So I made a beat and I started vibing, hop in my Maserati so that’s how it started.”

Speaking on the endorsement, Olakira said, “I love the brand and I am just happy right now. I just do my thing, I just like to create good music.”

Although the artist has been in the music industry for a while, he gained stardom after the track “In my Maserati” was released in 2020, which went on to feature Davido in a remix.

In my Masareti has been making waves ever since it’s release, with the artist becoming more popular ever since he was discovered to be biologically related to online sensation Olufunmilayo Adebayo, popularly known as Mummy G.O.
