Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo Monday in his farewell message described Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as an outstanding human being.

Solskjaer was fired on Sunday after United suffered a devastating 4-1 loss to Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday.

“He’s been my striker when I first came to Old Trafford and he’s been my coach since I came back to Man. United,” Ronaldo said in a Facebook post.

“But most of all, Ole is an outstanding human being. I wish him the best in whatever his life has reserved for him,” Ronaldo added.

Solskjaer was appointed as United’s caretaker manager in December 2018 and was in March 2019 later appointed as the club’s head coach.

Solskjaer, 48, led United in 168 games, winning 91, drawing 37 and losing 40.
