David Abuluya, the president of the Eggon Cultural and Development Association (ECDA) Worldwide, says he met only 13 students at the Eggon Community Secondary School, Nasarawa Eggon, on assumption of duty.

Mr Abuluya, also the proprietor of Nacabs Polytechnic, Akwanga Nasarawa, disclosed this while receiving handover documents from his predecessor, Wilberforce Alaku, in Nassarawa Eggon on Sunday.

Mr Abuluya was elected president of the association in November 2021. He declared free education from Junior Secondary School (JSS) to give indigent children access to education, considering its importance to societal development.

“We thank God that we now have a total number of 615 students on ground due to the free education policy that I have declared from JSS one to three,” stated Mr Abuluya. “I declared the policy in order to give children of the less privileged access to education considering its importance to societal development.”
