PL2: Balogun on fire as 10-man Arsenal demolish Chelsea 6-1

Nigerian-born youngster Folarin Balogun scored twice as Arsenal under-23 team humbled Chelsea youngsters in the Premier League 2 game played in Kingsmeadow on Sunday.

The young gunners, who were reduced to 10-man 35 minutes into the game as Omar Rekik was shown the red card, defeated Chelsea 6-1.

Balogun gave the young gunners the lead barely six minutes into the game, scoring from the spot.

Mika Biereth doubled the gunners lead in the 21st minute of the game, while Balogun made it three for Arsenal in the 23rd minutes.

Biereth scored Arsenal’s fourth and fifth goal in the first half extra time and 76th minute respectively, while an own goal by Lucas Bergstrom made it six for Arsenal in the 84th minute.

Jayden Wareham got Chelsea a consolation goal in the stoppage time.
