The Chinese embassy to the United States has urged China’s nationals residing in the U.S. to ensure their personal safety amid rising discrimination against them in the U.S.

“Many Asians have faced assaults, particularly those who work in Chinese-funded institutions and international students,” the Chinese government pointed out.

According to the embassy, there is much hatred towards China in the U.S.

The Chinese embassy urged its nationals to brace up for increased prejudice and assault.

“Make sure you reinforce your safety precautions,” the embassy said, warning its nationals to remain calm amid discrimination and violence,” the embassy said in a statement. “If you encounter targeted discrimination and violence, remain calm, handle it correctly, try to avoid quarrels and physical conflicts.”

The Chinese government added, “You should pay attention to collecting evidence to ensure your own safety.”
