Septuagenarian arrested for defiling neighbour’s daughter in Bauchi
The Police in Bauchi arrested and are investigating a 70-year-old man for defiling a seven-year-old daughter of his neighbour girl.
A spokesperson for the Zone 12 Police Command in the state, Thomas Goni, confirmed the arrest of “Umaru Daura for allegedly defiling a seven-year-old daughter his neighbour.”
The Zone 12 Police Command Bauchi comprises of Bauchi, Borno and Yobe.
Mr Goni said in a statement released to the press that “The incident happened in Kawo Rauta Village in Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State.”
According to him, “The victim’s father, Alhaji Habu Musa reported the case to the Police.”
He said the suspect will be charged to court after the completion of investigations, and asked the public for vital information on suspects and any strange movements in their communities.
