Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, will receive a jab of the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine on Monday (today).

Other members of the PTF will also get a jab today.

The Director Press, Office of the SGF, Willie Bassey, disclosed this in a notice on Sunday.

This came on the heels of President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s vaccination on Saturday at the Presidential Villa.

Mr. Mustapha and the PTF members will receive theirs after receiving a clearance from the Executive Director of National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Faisal Shuaib.

Mr. Bassey said they would be vaccinated at the OSGF during the weekly live joint national briefing of the task force.

This means that the PTF regular members, including the Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire; Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Muhammed; Minister of Environment, Muhammad Mahmood; Minister of State for Health, Olorunnimbe Mamora; Director General of the Nigeria Centre Centre for Disease Control, Chikwe Ihekweazu; and the National Incident Manager of the PTF, Mukhtar Muhammad, among others will also be vaccinated.

The federal government began the vaccine rollout at the National Hospital, Abuja, on Friday, with frontline health workers and support staff getting the first jabs.
