The Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Paul Enenche, has decried the wave of killings and the state of worsening insecurity in Nigeria, saying that security chiefs are now supervising mass killings and insecurity in the country.

In a video uploaded on Facebook on Wednesday, the Abuja-based popular preacher recounted the tragic events that have plagued the nation in the past one week.

In his address, he said, “At this point, it appears as if to depend on the government is to wait until you are wasted. It appears as if those we refer to as Chief Security Officers over various levels have become Chief Insecurity Officers, supervising insecurity.”

Mr Enenche accused the leadership of the country of complacency in the face of the worsening insecurity, describing them as “leaders with zero leadership qualities” and “space-occupying lesions”, calling for their resignation if it was difficult to manage the insecurity spreading across the country.

In his speech, he recounted the kidnappings reported in the course of the week, listing off numbers of the attacks carried out by kidnappers, terrorists, and unknown gunmen, such as the abduction of students from the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi (FUAM), Benue State, the abduction and murders of students abducted from Greenfield University, Kaduna.
