He said that the NDLEA operatives also arrested some of the suspects linked to them.
The LASPA boss recalled that the Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, earlier this year, approved the introduction of regulated on-street parking.
NDLEA spokesman Femi Babafemi said that in Abuja, two suspects, 60-year-old Ademola Elusakin and 34-year-old Nuhu Adamu, were arrested by operatives.
Mr Dangote said, “Even though Lagos State gave us a good deal, we paid $100 million for land. It was not free land; we paid for it.”
“As a regulatory agency, we are supposed to have 12,000 staff but we are barely 2,000 in a country of more than 230 million,” said NAFDAC boss.
A notice by the Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPA) said the directive would take effect in October.
“He has been reduced in rank from inspector to sergeant,” he said.
Magistrate E. Kubrinhe remanded Mr Ukpebor in Kirikiri Correctional Centre’s custody, where he will be until his August 13 trial.
