Governor Abba Yusuf has approved a technical committee to address poor employment representation of Kano indigenes in federal government agencies.
“Our aim is to record zero tolerance for road traffic crashes, especially during and after this yuletide period,” a NEMA official said.
The governor said their death had left the government and residents in collective grief.
The police command in Kano has arrested Abba Aliyu, a 26‑year‑old resident of Dala Quarters, for armed robbery.

Mr Yusuf urged the KIRS staffers to carry out their duties with dignity, fairness, and professionalism.
The chairman listed some of the recoveries, including N2 million in favour of Karry Consult and Family Nigeria Ltd, and N1 million for Nuruddin Usman.
The faction on Thursday announced the dissolution of state working committees in 14 states.
The governor described Mr Tinubu’s approval as a clear demonstration of responsive leadership and commitment to infrastructural development.
Mr Bakori said the deployment was aimed at guaranteeing the safety of participants and preventing any disruption to public order.
