Weather Forecast: Sunny, hazy conditions expected across Nigeria Saturday-Monday

NiMet further forecast patches of afternoon clouds and slim prospects of localised rains over parts of Rivers, Ogun, Bayelsa, Delta and Lagos States.

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted sunny and hazy weather conditions from Saturday to Monday across the country.

NiMet’s weather outlook released on Friday in Abuja predicted sunny and hazy atmospheric conditions over the Northern region and the North-central region during the forecast period.

According to it, the inland cities of the South should be under partly cloudy to hazy conditions throughout the forecast period.

NiMet forecast coastal cities of the South to be under a hazy atmosphere.

It further forecast patches of clouds and slim prospects of localised rains over parts of Rivers, Ogun, Bayelsa, Delta and Lagos States during the afternoon and evening period.

“For Sunday, sunny and hazy atmosphere is expected over the Northern region and the North-central region during the forecast period.

“The inland cities of the South should be under a hazy atmosphere with patches of clouds throughout the forecast period.

“Coastal cities of South should be under a hazy atmosphere with few patches of cloud and prospects of localised rains over parts of Lagos, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa and Rivers state during the afternoon and evening period,” it said.

The agency envisaged a sunny and hazy atmosphere over the Northern region on Monday with the North-Central region throughout the forecast period.

It predicted inland cities of the South to be under a hazy atmosphere with patches of clouds throughout the forecast period.

“Hazy atmosphere is expected over the Southern region of the country with few patches of cloud.

”There are prospects of localised rain showers over parts of Cross river, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa and Rivers state in the afternoon and evening period,” NiMet said.
