Kiir summons ex-finance minister, businessman over Dubai fist fight – sources

JUBA – South Sudan President, Salva Kiir Mayardit, has summon the country’s former minister of finance and economic planning, Salvatore Garang Mabiordit, and businessman Kur Ajing over a fist fight that took place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates two weeks ago, the Sudans Post has learned.

The two men were involved in a fist fight earlier this month over division of stolen oil money that triggered a brief police detention in Dubai. The fight which began when businessman Kur Ajing said he won’t pay Garang led to the ex-finance minister’s teeth being broken.

Speaking to Sudans Post this afternoon, two sources close to the presidency said President Salva Kiir was angered by the news when he heard about the incident, saying he has summoned the two men to the presidency for a meeting either today or Saturday.

“President Salva Kiir is not happy at all about the news. This is a disgrace for our country’s refutable name and that is why the president has decided to summon them to ask what was wrong and why that money when out of state’s finance ministry,” one source said.

The other source confirmed the summon, and said the meeting between the two men will either take place today or the following day which is Saturday.

“Yes I am hearing that the president has summoned them, the meeting will either be today or tomorrow,” he said.
